My name is Anas Alkhatib.

I am an emerging scholar who works with art and architecture as tools to reconstruct histories and imaginaries. My ongoing research project starts with a seed through the stomach and ends in the sea, which I used to rarely see. Toilets are at the core of my research on temporality and geography. I recently completed my MA in Human Rights and the Arts at Bard College and I hold a degree in Architectural Engineering at Birzeit University.

I examine toilets as places where our bodies, architecture, infrastructure, and ecology intersect.
